THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD
Step into the story of a God who came near to heal, restore, and make us whole.
The road from Jerusalem to Jericho winds through danger and darkness, yet it is on that road that grace meets humanity. This Advent, we journey through the parable of the Good Samaritan and discover that the story Jesus told is, in fact, the story He lived. Each week uncovers a new perspective on the journey of grace. We see ourselves in the beaten man, desperate for hope. We confront the indifference of the priest and the Levite, learning that true joy moves us to compassion. We step into the inn, a place of peace where Christ still heals the broken. We witness the Samaritan’s love that crosses every barrier, reflecting the heart of God. And on Christmas Eve, the storyteller is revealed as the Savior Himself, the One who came near to rescue and restore us. “The Greatest Story Ever Told” is a compelling narrative of hope, joy, peace, and love finding their fulfillment in Jesus, the Good Samaritan who never passes us by.

The Wounded Man: Hope for the Broken
Sunday, November 30, 2025
Part 1: The Wounded Man: Hope for the Broken
Advent Theme: Hope
Perspective: The Man on the Jericho Road
Scripture: Ephesians 2:1-10
The road from Jerusalem to Jericho was steep, dangerous, and lonely. In Jesus’ story, a man lies beaten and half-dead on that road, stripped of dignity and left with nothing but fading breath and a desperate hope that someone might stop. That’s our story too. Humanity lies wounded by sin and separated from God, longing for rescue we can’t achieve ourselves. But Advent reminds us that Hope Himself came down that road. In the incarnation, God became our neighbour and our Hope. He found us in our brokenness, bandaged our wounds with grace, and carried us to safety. Jesus still places us in His inn, the church, for healing and restoration until He returns. Discover how the story of a beaten man reveals the greatest rescue ever told and the hope still reaching for you today.
Priest & Levite: The Day Religion Passed By

Part 2: Priest & Levite: The Day Religion Passed By
Advent Theme: Joy
Perspective: The Priest & The Levite
Scripture: Isaiah 58:5-11 and James 2:14-23
In this Advent season when heaven came close to earth, how often do we still keep our distance? The priest and the Levite both saw the wounded man but kept their distance. They hurried past, too busy or too proud to stop. They didn’t cross the road or cross their prejudices, barriers, or stigmas to help the needy. Advent invites us to trade our religious routines for a faith that moves, a joy that reaches out, and a love that acts. When true joy fills our hearts, it overflows in mercy. True repentance restores joy; the kind of joy that moves us toward the hurting and mirrors the compassion of Christ. Jesus came not to avoid the broken, but to bind up their wounds and bring good news to the poor. When His joy fills our hearts, we cannot stay still. Come discover how Advent joy awakens compassion and turns cold religion into life-giving faith.
The Innkeeper: A House of Peace
Sunday, December 14, 2025
Part 3: The Innkeeper: A House of Peace
Advent Theme: Peace
Perspective: Innkeeper
Scripture: Ephesians 2:14-22
Every traveler longs for a place to rest during a difficult journey. For the wounded man, that place was an inn: a space for comfort, care, and peace. In the story Jesus told, the innkeeper quietly receives the broken stranger and tends to his healing. What if that is what the church is meant to be? A refuge for the weary, a hospital for the hurting, a community for the broken. Advent reminds us that Jesus came to bring peace on earth and that His body, the church, carries that peace into every life it touches. Here we find rest from our striving, healing for our wounds, and hope for tomorrow. Let’s step inside the inn to discover how Christ still invites the broken to find peace and how we can become keepers of that peace in our world.
The Good Samaritan: Incarnational Love
Sunday, December 21, 2025
Part 4: The Good Samaritan: Incarnational Love
Advent Theme: Love
Perspective: The Good Samaritan
Scripture: 1 John 4:7-12
Love is never content to stay on the other side of the road. In Jesus’ story, a Samaritan sees a wounded stranger and moves toward him with compassion that costs something. He binds the man’s wounds, lifts him up, and pays the price for his recovery. That is the kind of love Advent calls us to remember. God saw our brokenness and did not turn away. He crossed the greatest distance of all when He sent His Son into our world. The incarnation is love in motion, love that stoops low to lift others up. When we encounter people in need, we have the chance to reflect that same love. Let’s see how the Samaritan’s compassion points us to the heart of God and how Christ’s love moves us to cross barriers, take risks, and bring healing to a world waiting for mercy.
The Greatest Story Ever Told: Emmanuel on the Road
Wednesday, December 24, 2025
Part 5: The Greatest Story Ever Told: Emmanuel on the Road
Perspective: The Storyteller, Jesus
Scripture: Luke 10:25-37
Every story Jesus told revealed a glimpse of His heart, but this one reveals His very mission. The parable of the Good Samaritan is not just a moral lesson about kindness; it is the story of Christmas itself. We are the ones left wounded on the side of the road, and Jesus is the One who comes near. He is the true Good Samaritan who crosses the distance of heaven to reach us in our brokenness. The greatest storyteller tells the greatest story ever told: the unmerited, unconditional, and unreserved love of God revealed to humanity in the birth of Jesus. On this holy night, the storyteller becomes the Savior. The Word becomes flesh. The Healer bends low to make us whole. If you are broken, weary, lonely, or hurting, take heart. Jesus has come near. This Christmas, discover the One who will never pass you by.
