Happy New Year! A new year, fresh and untouched lying before us. This is a time of resolutions, of new beginnings. It’s a time of reflection and hope for happiness ahead. Much will happen in 2023. Some great things, some exciting things, some sad and difficult. Some will be things out of our control while others will be things we can determine. During this year, we will make thousands of decisions that will impact our lives. Before we know it, December 31, 2023, will be upon us. What will you want to remember this year for? What if followers of Jesus reflected Jesus brighter; showed his love more abundantly? What would happen to our families, our workplaces, our schools our cities? What would that look like? John the Baptist, lived his life preparing the way of the LORD, pointing people to the Messiah. When Jesus’s popularity started to outshine his ministry, His disciples felt threatened and approached John with their concern. His response: “He must increase, and I must decrease.” What if we made that our rule of life for 2023? He must increase and I must decrease. Join us as we unpack what this might look like for our lives, our homes, our spheres of influence. Join us as we spend time in prayer together seeking God for the ability to decrease while He increases in our midst.
