I AM the Resurrection & the Life

With the statement that he was the resurrection and the life, Jesus predicted and affirmed his power and victory over death. His raising of Lazarus from the dead proved his Lordship, but it was also the beginning of the road to the cross where he would ultimately suffer and die. Nevertheless, he overcame the grave to bring us salvation, healing, and wholeness as only he can. He is our hope in life and in death. The story of Jesus comes to a climax on Easter weekend as the cornerstone of the Christian faith is laid which is the truth of the resurrection. We can build our lives upon Jesus because he is alive forevermore!
