The Greatest Story Ever Told, Volume 4: Incarnational Love
Love is never content to stay on the other side of the road. In Jesus’ story, a Samaritan sees a wounded stranger and moves toward him with compassion that costs something. He binds the man’s wounds, lifts him up, and pays the price for his recovery. That is the kind of love Advent calls us to remember. God saw our brokenness and did not turn away. He crossed the greatest distance of all when He sent His Son into our world. The incarnation is love in motion, love that stoops low to lift others up. When we encounter people in need, we have the chance to reflect that same love. Let’s see how the Samaritan’s compassion points us to the heart of God and how Christ’s love moves us to cross barriers, take risks, and bring healing to a world waiting for mercy.
